Fitness often seems more complicated than it really is: workouts, exercises, nutrition, protein, weight loss, cardio, heart rate zones, calories — it is easy to get overwhelmed and never actually get started.
That is why we decided to bring the key steps together in one place to help you get fitter, improve your health and quality of life, and reach your goals.
You do not have to follow every step. Use this page as a roadmap and start wherever makes sense for your current situation.
THIS PAGE IS UNDER DEVELOPMENT. THE FULL ROADMAP AND LINKS TO RESOURCES ARE COMING SOON.
Step 1. Assess Your Starting Point
Before making any changes, you need to understand where you are starting from.
1.1. Check your health status
1.2. Assess your current fitness level
The key point: there is no single program that everyone should start with. Someone who has been mostly inactive for the past five years needs a different starting point from someone who already exercises regularly.
Step 2. Define Your Goal and Set Realistic Expectations
Now you need to understand both what you want to change and what you can realistically achieve.
2.1. Lose body fat
2.2. Build muscle
2.3. Improve your fitness
2.4. Improve your health
Your body changes gradually. Significant changes take months, and developing a high level of fitness can take years. Genetics, age, your starting fitness level, and lifestyle also influence the outcome.
Do I need to lose weight?
Yes → Work through the nutrition and weight loss section alongside the other steps.
No → You can skip that section.

Step 3. Build a Foundation: Start Moving More
3.1. Everyday Physical Activity
3.2. Walking
3.3. Cardio
If your current activity level is very low, you do not need to try to become an athlete in a week. Start with an amount of activity you can maintain consistently.
Then gradually build up to meet at least the standard physical activity guidelines.
